Low washing temperatures are often used today. This means you use less energy, so it is better for the environment. Many clothes should also not be washed warmer than at 30 ° – 40 ° C. With the latest developments in washing machines and detergents, your daily laundry will be hygienically clean, even at low temperatures. Make sure that you do not leave dirty, wet laundry too long before you wash it (in a damp environment, bacteria grow fastest). Also make sure that the clean wet laundry does not remain in the washing machine for too long. It is also important that the drum is not overloaded.
The laundry will then not be able to rotate properly and will therefore not be properly cleaned. Most bacteria found in laundry do not pose a health risk. Especially when you and your family members are healthy. For example, if a family member is ill and you still want to take extra measures, we recommend washing at 60 ° C.
